Our Pre-School

Hunters Hill Pre-School is a community-based, non-profit pre-school operated by a parent management committee. The pre-school is licensed and regulated by the Department of Community Services. Our pre-school enjoys a reputation for high quality early childhood education. All of our staff are fully qualified and have extensive experience within the early childhood field.

We are licensed to cater for 3-5 year old children. We have three classrooms catering for 58 children per day.

What happens at Pre-school

Pre-school provides children with the opportunity to interact with others, develop relationships with peers and adults, learn how to be part of a group, explore safely, and develop in all of their key learning areas in an active, play-based learning environment.

The program at our pre-school is based on educational theory, philosophy and current research. It is developed from close observation of the children, in response to their individual needs and interests. Children are encouraged to actively engage with the environment and teaching staff use opportunities to foster the children’s creativity, encourage them to explore new material and to find answers to questions. The ultimate aim is to teach children how to learn and to foster a love of learning.
